Promoting Wellbeing

At Charlton Grange we appreciate the importance that mealtimes and nutrition play in our daily life and aim to promote individual wellbeing through a positive and enjoyable dining experience. That is why we have partnered with CaterPlus one of the UK’s leading and most respected catering services to deliver an exceptional all-round experience for our residents.

Seasonal Balanced Menu

What we eat has a profound effect on our bodies and minds and the connection between food and health is important at all stages of our lives. As we get older, difficulties in chewing and swallowing, poor health, a smaller appetite and other factors may make it harder to get the right nutrients in the right amounts.

Having Caterplus onboard allows the home to have access to a seasonal balanced menu by a team of Development Chefs and Dietitians who, through their creativity and dedication to high standards, ensure we deliver a delicious and nutritious meal with the very best practice in food preparation and service.

The preferences of the residents are always considered, which means classic meals often feature alongside traditional regional cuisine on our menus. Our home holds regular themed food days in addition to our normal menu to provide opportunities for the residents to be involved.

Covid-19 Latest

These are unprecedented times for us all. Rest assured we are doing everything that we can to safeguard the health of our residents and staff.

Coronavirus can make anyone seriously ill, but for the elderly, the risk is higher, likely reflecting the presence of other diseases, a weaker immune system, or simply worse overall health.

As such we have temporarily restricted visits to the home to only those deemed vital or essential (e.g. medical professionals and end of life visits) to prevent the spread of COVID-19. These decisions are made on a case-by-case basis by the home manager. We appreciate this is difficult for family members and friends who would like to visit their loved ones, but we do this with the best intentions to keep the home and our residents safe from the risk of infection.

For all those concerned, Charlton Grange is here to provide support and guidance in these trying times. Please contact the home if you have any further questions.
